Michele P. Rousseau

Hypnotist

My journey toward a career in hypnosis began when I sought hypnosis for myself. You see, I had been too afraid of flying to attend my brother’s wedding. Hypnosis helped replace my negative subconscious thoughts about flying with positive ones, so that not only was I able to fly to the wedding, I was able to fly with pleasure and enjoyment. Other fears melted away as well. After the plane landed, I found I was able to drive unfamiliar highways through a major city with peace in my heart and a smile on my face. I was able to confidently give a reading at the ceremony in front of 175 people. Then, at the reception, I was able to dance the night away with energy, excitement, and joy. All things that fear and anxiety had previously held out of my reach. Now, as a trained hypnotist, I get to help others in the same way that I had been helped.

I am a graduate of Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Los Angeles (now HMI College of Hypnotherapy) and am currently a registered hypnotist in the State of Connecticut. Through the American Hypnosis Association, I am a certified Hypnosis and Weight Loss Specialist and hold certification in Smoking Cessation as well. In addition, I am a certified HypnoCoach® through the Center for Hypnotherapy in Oakland, California, where I also received certification as a Guided Imagery Practitioner and Habit Control Consultant. I have earned a master’s degree in Integrative Health and Healing through The Graduate Institute in Bethany, CT. And, as a dedicated lifelong learner, I continue my training in many areas of subconscious work and motivation. It is my pleasure in life to help people overcome their challenges, reach their goals, and achieve their dreams.

*The services that I offer are considered vocational and avocational hypnosis. I am NOT a therapist and my services are NOT to be considered a form of health care or psychotherapy. Physician referral is required for pain management or weight loss beyond 25 pounds. Psychiatric referral may be required for management of certain types of anxiety or other issues.
